This is my first time posting on a blog, but felt compelled. I am where you are...only older. How much I wish I would have made this decision at 40. I could have had 7 additional years to be "present" with my children. Regardless of what happens (I haven't made it through the rest of your story yet to know), making this choice now is something to be proud of. There is no claiming the years that are gone, but there are so many left ahead and I applaud you for not wasting anymore time. Instead you are living.
